| Why is FRS different from other energy supplements? | |
The advantage FRS has over other energy drinks is simple. Instead of using lots of caffeine and sugar to give your body a lift, FRS activates your body's own energy-producing mechanisms, so you can stay at your best longer without fear of crashing. FRS is fueled by quercetin, a powerful antioxidant found in foods like blueberries, apples and grapes. Quercetin works by naturally triggering the body's ability to produce more real energy. Clinical studies have shown quercetin's ability to deliver sustained energy, help promote improved fitness and support overall health. |
| What's in a one-can serving of FRS? | |
325mg of quercetin, a powerful antioxidant found in the skins of red apples, grapes and berries. 85mg of green tea extract. 100% + RDI of 7 key vitamins, including B vitamins and antioxidant vitamins C & E. |
Quercetin is one of nature's more powerful and abundant antioxidants, found in fruits and vegetables like red apples, grapes and berries. It helps provide sustained energy and supports improved fitness levels. |
Everyone can use FRS as a healthy way to increase daily energy. Athletes find FRS a great performance enhancer and recovery aid. People with an active lifestyle use it for a healthy, sustained boost in energy and concentration, while others find it gives them more energy to get through the day. |
| What will I feel after taking it? | |
Individual results will vary, but many consumers of FRS experience an increase in energy and alertness within 30 minutes. Additional benefits may take several weeks to experience. |
| How often should I take FRS? | |
For best results, 2-3 servings per day are recommended - one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and another 30-60 minutes before exercise or whenever you need an energy boost. |
| What forms does FRS come in? | |
FRS is available in the following forms: liquid concentrate, powdered drink mixes, soft chews and single-serve cans. |
FRS stands for free radical scavenger, a scientific name given to antioxidants. |
Free radicals are unstable, reactive oxygen molecules that are created as a byproduct of metabolic processes, such as the body burning oxygen to create energy. They damage healthy cells and have been linked to premature aging, weakened immunity and low energy. In addition, while disease conditions are associated with many factors, scientific research suggests that free radical damage may be implicated in over 60 diseases - including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and Alzheimer's. |
| How much caffeine is in each serving? | |
A can of FRS contains 48mg of caffeine, equivalent to approximately a cup of tea or half a cup (4oz) of regular coffee. The powdered drink mix and concentrate each contain 35 mg per serving. The soft chews contain 20mg per two-chew serving. Caffeine is used as a metabolic enhancer to help the body absorb the other key nutrients in the FRS formula. |
| How should athletes use FRS? | |
Athletes should use FRS 30-60 minutes before the start of their workout. Many athletes also take FRS again after a hard workout to help with post-workout energy and recovery and even mix it with their recovery drink. Cyclists on long rides put FRS in their water bottle for sustained energy (some cyclists experiment with using it at lower concentrations). Endurance athletes take the chews during long workouts and races. |
